Demag Right angle (type W) Gearmotors are available in ten gearbox sizes for foot, flange or universal mounting, or with torque brackets for shaft mounting. The basic W10 to W50 gearboxes are two-stage reductions and feature hypoid gear sets for good efficiency and quiet operation. Sizes W60 to W100 feature bevel gears. The basic bevel-gear boxes feature 3-stage reductions.

An optional intermediate stage, using unique modular staging may be added to all sizes except the W10 gearbox to achieve maximum reduction ratios. Gearboxes are designed to complement the high cycling capabilities of the Demag “Indrive” Variable Speed Gearmotor, Conical Rotor Brake Motors and Cylindrical Rotor Motors, as well as the Microspeed Drive.

The gearmotors are available with coupled motor connection for quick motor removal and replacement (standard for type KB motors) or with an economical motor mounted pinion direct connection typical for Cylindrical Rotor Motors).

A large selection of output shafts in inch and metric sizes makes these gearmotors suitable for a wide range of applications.

Sizes W10 to W40 feature a high quality die cast aluminum alloy gearbox housing that provides necessary rigidity while minimizing unit weight. W50 to W100 housings are cast iron.
