Demag Microspeed Drives

Horsepower range from .6 to 68

The Demag Microspeed Drive (type FG)combines two Demag motors and an intermediate gear reducer, making it a versatile solution for applications where extreme mechanical positioning accuracy and high cycling capability are required. The Microspeed unit combines a “main” Demag Conical Rotor Brake Motor for rapid speed and a “micro” Demag Conical Rotor Brake Motor for slow or feed speed. The intermediate gearbox offers a wide range of ratios, and motors of different speeds can be combined to produce exceptionally high ratios between high and low speed.

Two-speed motors can also be selected to increase the number of available speeds. Where a variable low speed is required, the micro motor can be controlled with an inverter drive.

Microspeed units are available with or without Demag output gear reducers.

  • A. Creep speed virtually independent of load
  • B. Single or two-speed micro motor
  • C. Intermediate gear
  • D. Can be mated to various output reducer types or stand alone
  • E. Single or two-speed main motor
  • F. Sliding conical rotor
  • G. Aluminum die cast or cast iron housings depending on frame size
  • H. Integral clutch/brake
